Synopsis

In this episode of the 40 and 20 Watch Clicker Podcast, hosts Andrew and Everett discuss recent watch releases and personal topics. They cover several notable timepieces including Monta's 10th anniversary limited editions (the Sky Quest and Triumph with opaline dials), a new Timex collaboration with Noah featuring the Boatswain with a rope-themed dial, and Brew's Metric Chrono Taxi inspired by New York City cabs. The hosts examine various square and rectangular watches, including the Mido Multifort TV Chronometer, Ralph Lauren's hand-engraved Western Cushion in sterling silver (priced at $26,000), and Fears' Arnos Opera Black with its striking black onyx dial.

Throughout the episode, Andrew and Everett share personal anecdotes about their families' activities, including soccer games and cross country meets. They debate the evolution of various watch brands, with Everett expressing a desire to see Brew take more creative risks despite their commercial success. The conversation touches on accessibility in the watch market, pricing considerations, and the balance between innovation and staying true to a brand's identity. In their "Other Things" segment, Andrew recommends the Morakniv Craftline Basic 511 knife as an excellent budget utility tool, while Everett enthusiastically endorses Boardroom Socks' cotton dress socks as a superior alternative to Bombas.

Everett You good to go? Hello fellow
Andrew watch lovers, nerds, enthusiasts, or however you identify. You're listening to 40 and 20 thech Wat Clicker Podcast with your hosts Andrew and my good friend Everett. Here we talk about watches, food, drinks, life, and other things we like. Everett, how are you?
Everett I'm so good, Andrew. I'm so good. The uh the sort of uh late summer, early fall thing, it's been like in the 70s, almost 80, almost every day. Uh today was a little bit chillier, but it's like we are
Andrew you leave the house in the dark?
Everett Uh in the mornings. yeah, that's right. It's chilly in the mornings, but by the time you get to noon, one o'clock, it's been it's been beautiful
Andrew It's that dual use heat and air conditioning type weather.
Everett Makes me think of Chris Farley um talking about The niƱo. Anyway, yeah, no good. I mean we're in true that I mean we're in true sort of Indian summer uh world right now where it's just like going and going. I love it.
Andrew Gosh, man, uh neither of my kids are playing soccer this year. and you sent some pictures of soccer the other day and I was just like so relieved to it it not hasn't even been on my radar to not even think about the fact of like spending Saturdays out at that elementary school or middle school or whatever it is field just there all day. It has it's been just a delight.
Everett Oh man I kinda like it man. I I I I actually have a lot of fun. Um I actually have a lot of fun at soccer, but uh it yeah. I especially when the weather is like this, right? We haven't had I I mean, knock on wood, but we haven't had a rainy Saturday yet. It's just the weather's been great. It's been cool, man.
Andrew Mm part of my relief is that last year my experience with that league was soured by coaching.
Everett Yeah. Sure. That was a really unpleasant
Andrew experience. Yeah. Not that coaching was an unpleasant experience, but coaching in that league was an unpleasant experience.
Everett Yeah, you were coaching, right? yeah, yeah. Well, in any event, we're having a ton of fun and uh I'm loving this weather and we went to a you know a football game on Saturday and it it was an eight o'clock kickoff which is wild eight p.m. kickoff and uh but still we were you know it was brisk but we still we left the game at eleven forty five and it was like, this is fine. This is fine. You know?
Andrew You're also in a good spot in that stadium. W once you get a little bit higher up, that win can can get ya.
Everett Yeah. Yeah. No, we're we're definitely protected a little bit. So uh Andrew, how are you?
Andrew I'm good. I'm also enjoying the weather. I've been uh I I went out to the coast this weekend and threw crab pots with the kids and it was like hot. we were in t shirts. I'm like, hey, it's gonna maybe rain a little bit. Cause it's at the coast, right? Like you get socked in with fog out of nowhere, it gets cold. I'm like, you guys need to bring jackets. They're like, we don't need jackets, it's sunny. I'm like, bring jackets, you dicks. And we get out there. I'm like, take your jackets off. It's hot. Like what we can be in t-shirts, but this is this I'm not wrong here.
Andrew You always bring jackets to the house. Yes.
Andrew Um, but yeah, just getting out and like continuing to be able to enjoy the outdoors and not be I continue to be able to enjoy the outdoors in an environment the kids can 'cause I I love foul weather fishing. Uh kids don't. Which is reasonable. Um so getting to continue to enjoy it with them has been has been fun and that's what weekends are for. Uh I went my older son is doing cross country and I went to my first cross country Meat That is not a spectator sport. Uh it was a huge production and it was mayhem. There were people everywhere, and you see kids for like ten seconds at the start line and at the finish line and then at one little spot where you could like kind of trek down through the woods and see them at one of the loop points. And I was like, Were you
Everett guys at L C C Uh it it was uh Oak
Andrew Hill School? Okay.. Yeah
Everett No, it you're you're right. I mean it b spectating spectating cross country is weird because you're like like you you have to figure out where you're gonna see 'em and then like kind of figure out like okay what time should they be at that? And then you're like you're like trying to fit like, okay, are they on pace? And then and then you go to the next spot and you're like, oh they picked up but it's yeah, it's weird. I like it. I actually think it's kinda fun.
Andrew And people were having a blast. There's like cowbells and like uh spectators are like face painted app I like watching track and field events but it's it's contained.
Everett I like being able to see what I'm there for.
Andrew Uh so that's definitely a new experience. Uh I when I asked him because I he wasn't really sure he wanted to do it because part of the reason he he didn't he likes playing goalie in sports is because he doesn't like to run. I'm like cross country's d literally just that and nobody's chasing you. And he's like yeah I want to I mean they
Everett they are if you're far enough ahead. Yeah.
Andrew Yeah. Not really. Uh and and we're halfway through the season and he's he's enjoying it. I'm like you gonna do it again next year? nah, not for me. Nah.
Everett Well, that's good that he's gonna stick it out.
Andrew Yeah. Yeah. So he's it was it was interesting. We have another one on Thursday to go to at the same place, but it's a different race.
Everett Okay. I don't know. They've got a different track. Yeah,
Andrew I guess a different course. 'Cause it's up in the hill, like so they can and there's tons of hiking trails up there. So I think they just chart a they sp chart a course and mark it with cones.
Everett Cool. Yeah. Well in any event, we're not here to talk about unseasonably warm autumns or fall sports. Rather, we're here to talk about watches and watches we have to talk about. Andrew, uh, despite the fact that you only picked two watches, there was overlap. no, no, no. I don't want to hear it. Uh despite that.
Andrew You that's how I called it. You uh on a rare occasion you sent me links before I did, and then I just sent you the links that weren't overlapped.
Everett Andrew, we're here to talk about watches. Why don't you lead us off despite your incredibly lazy week?
Andrew I have only two watches to talk about. He's right, and they're both in this watch. Um you know a lot of a lot of things uh lately have been making me feel old. Uh
Everett okay. Like just anniversaries
Andrew or or you know, take your pick of things. Like you quoting Chris Farley. I was in a I was at work, it's been a couple years now, so it makes it even worse. Exactly none of the people I was working with even knew who Chris Farley was. I'm like, you know, you know, in a van down by the river, and they're all looking at me like I'm crazy. And I was like, I'm I'm not crazy. You y'all are broken. And they're kids, obviously. They're in their like early twenties, but still like making me feel old. Um this makes me feel old. Monta is celebrating their tenth anniversary with two uh limited edition releases of the uh SkyQuest or excuse me, two limited edition releases, one SkyQuest, one triumph.
Everett Just right off the bat taking one of my watches. You didn't just
Andrew he just right you guys just right off the bat.
Everett He didn't he didn't even pick this watch. Right off the bat. Okay, fine. Fine. I
Andrew see.
Everett You can just run the show. I'll uh I'll mute
Andrew and just kick back. And uh Okay. So we have two 100 piece each, limited editions, one each of the Sky Quest and the Triumph, and they're really, really subtle differences. Um, but they're differences to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Monta. Um
Everett You know, when we started in this space, Monta was a baby. I mean it was a baby. Yeah. That's
Andrew this is this is a watch that we were talking about when we were kind of shaping the show. That's
Everett right. You know, it took the planning
Andrew phases. So this is it makes me feel old that we're seeing brands that uh like grow up in front of our eyes that we've uh w I don't really think we're journalists, but you know, we get marketing passes to go places. So something we've been covering as like we're in And these releases are fine, right? it's two uh what do they call them? They're the the opaland dials on both the SkyQu andest the Triumph. Um, little minor changes to the dials, um a little bit more expensive. They're like $50 more, but they're only making a hundred each to commemorate their anniversary. So I know you have more to say about these, but but when I I saw this was I was kind of shook um that we can be talking about the 10 the 10th anniversary
Everett yeah it's wild dude yeah so these are both they they're both uh they say they're limited editions to pay tribute to the Swiss um the Swiss town of Nuschatel I or New Chatel, I think is how you say it. I think
Andrew New Chatel, yeah, new
Everett Chattel where um where Monta's doing all of its manufacturing and where Monta has done its manufacturing from the Git Go. Uh which is fine. I I don't I don't know how these watches honor Nurs to tell, but I d I I do like the the shout out. Um and and and you know these are w what I like is these are still just very much
Everett what what feel like core releases
Everett from Monta, but they're just a little bit different. Um we have the we have the standard dimensions for each of these and their current iterations. So SkyQuest is 40.7 by 118 thick, um, with a caliber M23, which is a Salita SW330 GMT with 300 meters of water resistance. The Triumph is the new dimension of Triumph, which is to say 40 millimeters with a 10.5 thick case with 200 meters of water resistance. Now, um, I'm sort of on record as preferring the the form uh of the prior version of this, but this is where Mont is going with the the triumph these days. and I think it's nice. I've tried it on. I you know, the the lugs are beefy. It's sh it's a really sporty watch. Um of course wearing a
Andrew triumph right now, aren't you? Uh I
Everett am. Yeah. No. Uh totally incidentally I am wearing a Triumph, yeah. Um and of course mine's uh you know, mine's an original Triumph because I just think this is one of the best dimensionally I just think this is one of the best watches released in the last twenty years. Certainly m to be released under 2,000 bucks. I'm I mean, I just don't think there's a lot that competes with it. Uh it and and I didn't feel that same way with the with the new triumph. But it but that's not what we're talking about. Uh and and like you said, these both have um these both have Opal and Dow's beautiful which are really, really beautiful color. it plays with the light. And they both have um old radium lumon, which kind of gives you a little bit of like vintage vibe. Not my thing. I'll just say. And I don't think that's it's that's it's not my thing no matter who does it. The loom is great though. Uh we've got
Andrew loom green loom on both
Everett of these and it looks fantastic. the triumph or the uh SkyQuest coming in with like sort of a I don't think it's a problematic to say a Pepsi colorway.
Andrew It's uh it's blue over red. I don't I don't know if we have the rights to say Pepsi.
Everett Okay. Well I won't say it then. Uh and we do have the we do have uh new fonts for the logos, which I really like.
Andrew Yeah, they're good. I mean I have I have no notes. These aren't for me. I I've also been on record the new the new version the new uh iteration of the triumph it it just isn't I don't care for it as much as I care for the previous version. But they made their choices for a reason and they're selling a bucket load of watches and they're not selling them to me. Like I'm not their their client base entirely. So um the faux Tina that the aged loom to vintagize these watches I I I accept but I I also don't don't super like I love the Sky Quest though just just in general. That's I mean I love both these watches. I prefer the previous triumph, so
Everett uh Timex? Ooh,
Andrew what about Timex? So
Everett Noah and Timex, I think the last time we talked about a Noah times Timex collab watch, it was a prior version of this watch, which um is sort of an ellipse uh uh a sideways ellipse watch or I guess most ellipse watches are are vertically placed um they're back at it again. They're back at it again with what they're calling the boatswain.
Andrew Yeah, boatswain. Boatswain.
Everett Um and really what this is is a version of this watch that they've released twice before with uh replaced dial. Is has a um a piece of rope serving as a visual sort of sector indicator separating the center of the watch from the outer Roman numerals. We've got absolutely phenomenal roman numerals not a roman numeral guy but these roman numerals are sexy as all get out i don't know what they've done here, but if you zoom in, they're just fantastic. The way they've italicized, the way they've italicized the two, four, eight, and ten, I am very, very into the these uh Roman numerals. I like the rope. I like the sexy so But the rope
Andrew is subtle too. It's not it's not like uh a um a a a sailing release watch. It's not like, oh, this is a sailing company. It's just a a totally clean braided rope around the what would you know is inside the hour markers. Um it's not gaudy or icky at all. No.
Everett It's geometric. It's just a geometric detail until you sort of like it it's stylized exactly the right amount.
Andrew Yes. It's stylized exactly the right
Everett amount. Um and these come both with the same beautiful sort of creamy dial and lovely black font. We have two of them though. We have a silver case on a brown calf grain faux grain strap and uh and a PVD gold on black grain strap. Um gosh, Andrew. same case, same sort of tiny little crown, which I really love. These are these are very, very nice. painted Roman numeral indices. Um, and and I think these are great. They come in, so if you don't know, these come in at 31 across by 35 tall. It's a small watch. These are gonna wear small. They're gonna wear like a traditional sort of ellipse dress watch. Um very little water resistance. And of course 30 meters
Andrew though. It's good enough for some brands. Good that's
Everett right. Cool. Uh Uh quartz um movements on these and they come in at two twenty-eight. You know, uh uh I gotta tell you, I would love, I would love it so much. If these had an inexpensive mechanical movement.
Andrew If they dropped a mechanical in this, just a hand cranker, I'd I'd buy one without hesitation. For
Everett 550, 600? I mean, what what would they need to keep it under I think
Andrew could get into this I could I think you could get into a timex with a mechanical under four on this watch.
Everett Well but where where do you think the the sort of market threshold would
Andrew be. oh, I don't know. Timex
Andrew is hard because people have trouble stomaching a $500 Timex.
Everett Yeah. I I mean I think I think you're you're right. I think $400. If they could do $400, I think they would sell a ton of it. And I would buy one. I would just love it. I I this is suchch a delightful wat. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I I really like this. I I'm not super into this watch being quartz. And of course it if you if what you're worried about is the aesthetics of a quartz watch, this is it this is sand secondhand. It's a two hander. So you you're not gonna have a tick. Um I I just at this stage I don't think it like I I'd consider if it was solar. I'm not gonna buy a cheap Timex quartz watch. I don't think at this phase, but
Andrew that's not even a cheap Timex. It's two hundred and twenty eight bucks.
Everett But But here's here's here's
Andrew the real commentary. Imagine five years ago lamenting that a timex was quartz and not mechanical.
Everett Yeah, that's right. No, that's a it's a real that's a real thing.
Andrew and here we are saying they have the technology, they can do it. And it is almost something that we've like kinda come to expect from them in banger releases. Like they're doing good automatics and they're doing good mechanicals. And here we are uh not far off from a time when you know the the Marlin mechanical came out, and people were like, Oh, time actually was a mechanical movement, like revolutionary. What a cool growth arc of Timex to now be in a position where we can reasonably wish that they had gone automatic or mechanical with this. And I and I think frankly they they could maybe like hopefully with a non-collaborative release we see it.
Everett And I will say, and I will say, Andrew, um these are stainless steel, right? Both of these are stainless steel, which you know, i in 2016 you you went and got a weekender or which which people were fucking into the weekenders. I think people still are into weekenders. I think it's still that watch. But those are those are plated brass, right?
Andrew Or an easy reader, you know, you're easy reader, that's
Everett paid plated brass, right? So here we have a real stainless steel case. No, of course this isn't 40 bucks at target, right? No, that
Andrew that line of timex will always and forever exist..
Everett Ye Yeahah. Unlike the
Andrew SKX and the SNK.
Everett It it's it's a slightly different thing. But yeah, you know, for for me, I do think yeah, I I do think I I would like it if this was a mechanical movement? I just think it's such a great watch that I'm a little sad that it's not.
Andrew I completely agree.
Everett Uh Andrew, what's next? oh,
Andrew this one I know we didn't overlap on. Because I was surprised that you didn't include it. Um the brew metric chrono taxi. So uh this last week was New York Watch Week. Uh we had some technical issues, so we're leasing a little bit late that's not a big deal uh we also didn't go to wind up um I don't I don't know that I'll go to New York Wind Up again. It was it was
Andrew just so busy when we went last year that
Andrew it was it it was hard to enjoy, frankly. Uh it for the reason we were there. Like I think if I was just a person on the street going into look at watches, I think it's probably a a different experience than somebody who's there trying to connect with brand owners, trying to functionally do our, you know, what we do. We're not just there to enjoy watches. We're there kind of to work. Um and it was just a hard environment.
Everett Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh so I probably I
Andrew don't know if I'll ever do New York again. Maybe I will. I don't know. But this was it was New York Watch Week. There was a lot of cool stuff. Among them is the Brew Metric Chrono Taxi. And uh as John is wont to do, finds terrific things in the world that create great color palettes and then finds a way to integrate them into his watches in such fun and playful ways without being weird. I don't like I don't remember the last brew watch that came out that I didn't like. I don't know that it exists. Um every watch that comes out and that he does, I enjoy their fun. So the taxi has uh really traditional yellow and white taxi patterns all over it. From the three to nine, it's got the uh the checker bar, the the uh the banner stripe that would go across your six o'clock subdial is all yellow uh your ten o'clock subdial is split yellow and white a black and yellow seconds hand, just fun. And I think the metric chronograph is such a a perfect platform to play with colors on because it's such an attractive watch that I don't know that you can mess it up. Um but it's also j it's just a brometric. So it's 36mm case, 1075 thick, 50 meters of water resistance, and using VK sixty eight, right? There's no super excitement there. Um thousand pieces of this taxi edition coming in at four hundred and ninety-five bucks. Honestly, with the way that wind up goes, like these could be well be gone. I didn't I didn't check to see if there's any available, but um I think just a fun release. I love I love the way John plays with things in the real world to make fun watches.
Everett You know, I think uh it also says New
Andrew York at the at the six o'clock. Because he's from the
Everett recently a couple of um suggestions that brew is is maybe stagnating in terms of development. I think that's a little unfair. I think brew's done a lot more than they get credit for in terms of uh in terms of developing watches. With that said, I am personally at the point where I would really love to see John take some risks. Take a risk. I don't know what that looks like, but for me personally, I would love to see it. You know, I and that's because I see this and I go, okay. You know, you know, I have to imagine the guy's fucking printing money, right? You know, he drops a watch, people buy the shit out of it.
Andrew He's also really handsome. Yeah,
Everett that's right. He is a he is a good looking guy. Yeah. Um, he's he's showing up in you know, I think Alton Brown videos and like uh uh like John's doing his not John
Andrew John's watches yeah yeah sure
Everett I haven't seen John that's that's a good point. Um with that said with with that said um i'm personally i'm personally as a fan of brew i i'm ready for brew to come out with something that um like makes me double take because this doesn't make me double take. and that's not a problem. Not brands don't need to have every release surprise you or shock you. And in fact, there's there's something really, really attractive about a brand that has stuck to its root, not tried to do too much, kind of stayed in its lane. I don't mean like in the directive way, but like this is what we're doing. And we're gonna do it really, really well, and we're gonna do it and we're gonna go hard in the paint. And so I like that, but I'm personally ready as a fan of Brew for them to to release for Jonathan to release something that makes me go hot damn. So what does that look like? Does
Andrew it look like he sizes up and goes into an automatic chronograph? Does it is it like a new Andrew there's
Everett a reason there's a reason that I am a failed watchmaker uh uh watch brand owner and that John is not and so I would not
Andrew you're not as handsome as him I
Everett would not suggest to John what he should do at this point. With that said, with that said, um, I I think he can do something. I think he can do something.
Andrew I think I hear what you're saying, but I I think in in our it c kind of the the corner that Brew has carved out for themselves of doing square watches that are kind of coffee that they're they're not really any longer coffee inspired for the most part. But coffee origin
Everett unless they are, right? And some of them are. But
Andrew I I don't I see he has two really hard paths forward. I think he can go like the studio underdog route and go upmarket and start using better materials and better movements, which then inherently makes him more expensive. And then he loses out on that origin story. Or he starts like like or he starts innovating with with new cases and you know that RD is expensive and that's a hard decision to make. Um I I I don't disagree with you though there is some stagnation, but I think also like don't fix what isn't broken.
Everett Andrew, what's the company? Um denison? Denison. I I think denison and brew share some obviously some obvious aesthetic aesthetic uh people have been commenting since like twenty eighteen. People have been commenting how I say I
Andrew swear to god you use that word on purpose just because of people's comments.
Everett Uh almost certainly. you're the only person I know who uses
Andrew that word. Uh I
Everett I think that there are some obvious a aesthetic.
Andrew There it is. Ooh.
Everett The double th is what really did it for
Andrew me. It wasn't the smoky sultry voice.
Everett Oh w with that said, they're very different companies, but I I think Denison is a company that's like they're kind of doing their thing, but they're also really pushing boundaries. They're pushing boundaries. and and when brew came out, they were pushing. I mean, this is this is like weird. This is different. No. but like at this point, like I think I I guess the point, the reason I bring Dennison up is I I think there's a lot of inspiration out there. I think there's a lot of ways that John could go with it. I'm just ready for it. As a fan, not as a critic, as a fan, I would love I would love it. I want it is what I'm saying. I'm not saying he has to do it or he should do it or gosh John Brute really needs to I it's not that way. It's like gosh, I really want Bruted to like come out and surprise me with some.
Andrew We we've seen this great work. Like we know there's more to it. We know you've got more. Show me more better stuff.
Everett Yeah. Yep. Yep. Um did you pick that watch? You did. That was your watch. That was your watch. I didn't have that on my list, huh?
Andrew You did not. Okay. Well That's why I sent you the link.
Everett Fine. Let's keep it square ish.
Andrew Ooh, I know where you're. We've been we've
Everett been square ish, right? Uh we have been. Look, Andrew, I I think I think that Meato is w
Andrew Oh, that's not the watch I expected you to be talking about right now.
Everett Oh well it uh wellell we' wll we've got s we've got more squares coming
Andrew up. We've got
Everett more squares coming up. Look, I think that Mito is low-key. I think Mito is sort of uh a opportunity, an opportunity for someone who's entering the watch space to pick up something that is like if you're like, you know what, I really want a TSO PRX but I want to spend more I want something more special I want something a little bit nicer I want something you know that that that fucking associate of my firm has a PRX and I don't want that I wanna I wanna beat him. I wanna just him
Andrew or is your associate bad that like you like you go home and you're like you wanna choke him with his tie?
Everett Well, in this context it it's both but um but uh yeah you know it's like I I I'm not gonna have the same graduation gift that that guy had. Because
Andrew the UC PRX is in the wild every day.
Everett If you wanna if you wanna do that thing but just beat that guy a little bit just like you know make him feel a little bit bad about his T so I think Mito is a really I think it's a really interesting every time they release one of these multi-fort TV chronometer watches. I'm like, man, why don't I have one of these? Because this is a very sexy watch. It is uh a watch that is I'm gonna say affordable but that's uh it's
Andrew in the stretch watch I'm it's
Everett it's a stretch watch. That's right. This is a in the olden days we had a category of watches that we referred to as as stretch watches. We
Andrew call them reach watches. Reach watches. yeah,
Everett that's right. And that was, you know, that's in our day of talking about like, you know, three watches for a thousand bucks, right? What about the watches you might reach a little bit for? For me, this would have been in that category.
Andrew Cash that'd be a good idea. I wonder what we would pick for three for a thousand now. Oh
Everett boy. We might have to revisit some of those like OGs. Yeah. So these come in at I I think like fifteen
Andrew 1900 US money? I don't
Everett think it's that much. I think these are like 1600 US.
Andrew These are the website says 1,550
Andrew euros. Let me do a quick check while you keep talking.
Everett But for that, what you're getting is a 2824 power a twenty twenty eight twenty four derived Power Matic 80, right? So uh you know, this is where they've sort of slowed it down just a little bit.
Andrew 1740. Okay.
Everett Uh this is where they've slowed it down just a little bit uh in in exchange for a much higher power reserve. and probably, I'm gonna just say probably a longer lifespan. No, um when you slow a movement down, you theoretically lose a little bit of accuracy, but these are Cosk. So
Andrew But they're not Cosk plus. They're
Everett not Cos plus, but they're still Cosk. so it and and look, they are beautiful. They are beautiful. This has this the the vibe, the appeal of an integrated steel sport watch, but it's not integrated. It's a true lugged watch. Uh we've got sort of a H um an an h link bracelet uh and and everything on these is gorgeous so mito has come out with two new versions of these both in both in the 40 millimeter uh 40 millimeter case with the polished accents. It's just what you expect, but new, but new dials, new dials. We've got a sunburst blue and sort of a matte black anthrocyte thing. And the
Andrew anthrocyte is really is is deceptive though because of the uh because of the texture on it. You get a lot of brightness out of it. It's not like a it's not a true matte color sucking, light sucking dial, it's still really, really bright.
Everett And they've added a grid pattern to these sunbursts. So it's like you you get a little bit of light play, and then you also get the texture from this grid this grid texture, really, really compelling. And something I really like. So these are the big date versions, which is sort of the hallmark of the big date multifort. Um, and they framed it. And it and by framing this thing, I think that these are really, really stunning watches. Big sort of hefty bezel that's got a little bit of a little bit of angle at the top of it and a and a loom pip at twelve o'clock, which is a a little silly, but I still like it. And of course maybe that's necessary because of the big date and so you don't have any loom at the top and so they say, well, we'll give you a we'll give you a pip. Brushed and polished bezels on the I just I love this watch. I really, really love this watch.
Andrew So I I like everything until I get to the crown guards. These crown guards are panorai huge.
Everett Yeah, almost. If it wrapped around the crown it would be, yeah.
Andrew It could. I mean like it it doesn't require much more material to to get to the full uh the full axis of the crown. Uh everything if if they cut those crown guards, even with that big of a crown, man, I I'm I'm for it. But I it just and not to
Everett be argumentative, I like I like the crown guards, but yeah, I hear what you're saying.
Andrew Everything about it's great. I love this. But I had to delete it because you had already sent it to me. Um yeah, this is the the this is the kind of release that's like making me like Mito, Mido. I've never heard anyone else say it besides us.
Everett Yeah. So I I remember I remember listening to uh um an episode of Two Brook Watch Snobs. This is one of their like brands we know nothing about series that they did a few years back. And they had the same they they were like well, how do you say it? Yeah Meetom I know. Uh so yeah. I I I think it's fine that we don't know. We don't famously don't know
Andrew how to say words. Like that's a thing for us.
Everett Like a st aesthetic. Uh I think this also has different markers or or sort of revised markers, Andrew. I but I can't. I don't want to guarantee you that and I can't find that here in the review. So
Andrew they're interesting markers. They kind of look like a they're the because of the um They're Whoa what's the word I'm looking for? there's a channel in the middle of the marker that allowed that catches some light and it almost makes them look like a checkered pattern because they're um
Everett Like a mine they look like a Minecraft. They look like a Minecraft character.
Andrew Yeah. Yeah they do. Uh now
Everett that I look at it. They don't they look like a Minecraft face?
Andrew They do. Maybe that maybe it's my doe. From Minecraft.
Everett Okay. We got we gotta move on with it. Um
Andrew I I also like these uh looking at this, I'm like, man, maybe Mido is a watch brand that uh I'm kinda into. I th but I think by and large their releases are kind of lackluster for me, but this is a this is a a good one.
Everett Yeah, well, and the problem with this watch at seventeen hundred is you're getting awfully close to formex, um Monta, you know, you're you're getting close to other squares. Yeah, sure. You
Andrew know, you are getting it you you're
Everett getting I mean, I think Yama's kind of like in that world, although Yama's maybe a little bit more expensive. Like you're getting pretty close to some other watches that are that it's would be really hard. It would be really hard to say, you know, you have the opportunity to get a form X essence, but maybe look at the maybe look at the Mido MultiFort.
Andrew But if you're if you're looking for a square watch, right? I mean, if you're in that totally kind of like paddock phase your watch collecting and you're definitely not going that route or you're kind of in like the Santos zone or you know take your pick of squares that exist in the world uh and that's what you want. You know, and this is a gentle square too. It's pretty rounded edges. It's not Monaco square. it's uh it's it's pretty paddock square. Um
Everett Yeah, this is this is a classic TV dot. I mean, this is a classic TV case.
Andrew You can that fly, man.
Everett I got that one. It must
Andrew be a bunch. They're pig pen. Okay. Next square on the list. Ralph Lauren. This is a watch brand that I think we've talked about, but one other time.
Everett We've talked about the last release of this watch. The
Andrew last release of this watch. So the Western Cushion is back in a 38mm case. The last one came out in a uh 42 millimeter case, and this is inspired by you know the the old pocket watch engraving on silver watches, and here we have what Ralph Lauren showing up and doing a thing that just doesn't exist in the watch world with these beautifully engraved square cases. Um I'm embarrassed to admit. Uh I like the the green one the best. Because it look it's yeah it's uh the
Everett turquoise. The turquoise. yeah, that's the word I'm looking for. Turquoise
Andrew stone dial, yeah. the turquoise stone dial is absolutely phenomenal. They also come in black and white. Um
Andrew and if any hold hold if anybody
Everett in 2026, in October of 2026, if there's a single brand on the face of the earth that can with a straight face and no shame at all release a turquoise and silver watch, it's fucking Ralph Lauren. Because that is their entire aesthetic. They that is what they do, and if they didn't turquoise, I'd be disappointed.
Andrew yeah. Um so 38mm case, 93 thick, sterling silver engraved and aged on these things with fifty meters of water resistance. Hand
Everett engraved. Hand engraved. Yes.
Andrew Oh these yeah. Fifty meters of water resistance, the RL 514 movement by Piaget for Ralph Lauren for these watches. Forty hours of power reserve on this mechanical movement. They're twenty six thousand bucks. And they're twenty-nine thousand for the turquoise.
Everett yeah, look. So when we when these came out the last time, they were just as expensive. they were just as absurdly expensive. We talked about on the show, and I said, hey, look, as a watch guy, I shouldn't like this watch. I love it. Except that it's too big. Except that it's just too big. It's too big.
Andrew Even thirty eight, frankly, is is a little bit big for borderline for a western. But for a westernware statement piece, like I don't know. it m thirty eight millimeters might be the sweet spot for for this.
Everett Yeah. W what I gotta what I gotta say here, what I gotta say here. You know, the Ralph Lawrence RRL or double double double R L? What what's the what do they used to call it? Anyway, this this line that Ralph Lauren has of their their western wear is i is a bit obscure. I think as like i if you're into you know f fashion or whatever, you're gonna look at some of this stuff and be like, man. But there is uh Ralph Lauren is indisputably doing this stuff really, really well. You know, they release $1,200, $1,300 boots, Western boots, and they're all made by like the best people on earth at boot making. And they're all just immaculately detailed. This is the same thing, right? They have released a watch that is absolutely immaculately made. Now, is this an objectively fair price for this watch? To the extent that we can sort of break that down.
Andrew It might even be on the low end. I think this is a like I
Everett I I don't think so, Andrew. I think tie for unengraved
Andrew silver with a
Everett silver's not precious. It's not even expensive right now. I think it's objectively. I think
Andrew I think the hand engraving. I think the not the in-house movement, but the the movement for Ralph Lauren.
Everett Exclusive Piaget movement. Yeah. I
Andrew mean I think this is the price. I I I think I think they're making a a a great profit on it, but I think this is the price. You know what do we what do we look at when we're paying for other hand engraved cases from other brands.
Everett I think it's okay for us to disagree here because I think it's okay for us to disagree because I think it sort of highlights that there's uh a a sort of gray area, right? Like this is one of the coolest fashion brands on earth. This is objectively a really wonderful, horologically interesting watch. Maybe not horologically interesting, but i in terms of in terms of watches, it's interesting. They've taken care to make this really special. With that said, I mean, if you compare this to a twenty-six thousand dollar watch from a brand like Piaget, you're probably getting a better movement. You're probably getting, you know, you might be getting into some precious metal. And so all of that to say there is this window of sort of like,
Everett oh I'm maybe
Everett leaning towards it a little too much. You're leaning towards us fair. I think that's okay. I think it I think really that encapsulates a pretty fair split of possible opinions out there. I love it. I think this is a wonderful watch. And I just want to I want to talk about it. I want to wear it and I want to have it and I want to just sleep with it at night.
Andrew And just snuggle it. Yeah. Snuggle
Everett it. Yeah. I'd snuggle so much.
Andrew I'd get I'd get a a variety
Andrew of cowboy hats to wear. I and and a whole collection of bolo ties to compliment my turquoise Ralph Lauren Western cushion. Uh
Everett God, I love this thing so much. So cool. Hand engraved RLs on the crown.
Andrew Alternating uh numerals with Arabic numeral or with uh Roman numerals. Um yeah, just uh I mean a a work of art I think is is a good way to describe it.
Andrew Sure. That right now is scratching
Andrew the itch for me. Yeah,
Everett I mean this is very much a sort of guilty pleasure feeling for me. But I I would
Andrew if I want to get one of these.
Everett Yeah. I mean I can see it. Yeah.
Andrew Yeah. Yeah.
Everett Love it. Yeah. Love it. Did you did you did you bring this one up?
Andrew Uh I I yeah, I I introduced it. We both picked this watch.
Everett It It''ss it's not not the last one.
Everett Did I not open all the links?
Everett Oh it's not the last square. You're right.
Andrew Well it's the last square. Fears.
Everett The Fears Arnos, which is a watch that was released in what? 20 it was certainly released after the year 2000. Um Fears has has made a Fears has come back with a second release of this, and it is very much focused on a very specific outfit. Which is to say this is a watch that was made for one thing and one thing only, which is black tie, perhaps a camarbund, cummerbund optional, but certainly black tie. And they kinda nail it. They kinda nail it here. uh right? Wouldn't you say?
Andrew Yes. And but and and they and they
Andrew went they they did an upgrade
Andrew that I uh on initial look
Andrew didn't really dig and then realized what it was and was fully on board.
Everett So we've got uh what they're what Fears is calling the Arnos Opera Black. They're adding this to its permanent collection. This is a a rectangular case, much taller than it is wide. I'll give you specific dimensions in a moment. With here, the star of the show is a polished black onyx dial with white lacquer and black gold hands. Um we've got a bit of a sector thing going on and we've got roman numerals that are stretched deep into the corners of this thing. And it's just fucking wild. So dimensionally, we are 22. Yes, white lacquer, white lacquer in a sector formation that also extends out to these Roman numerals that start at the circle. It is it is a circle in the middle with the Roman numerals starting at its border and then stretching all the way out to the case, which is to say the like the four o'clock is maybe two to four millimeters and then and then the five o'clock is fifteen millimeters. Okay. U So these this is I I think it's twenty two point six wide and forty millimeters long, which is you know almost a two to one. Um twenty
Andrew two six wide. Yeah. 8.4
Everett thin, uh which gives it some real character. The case is curved, and andrew, I don't know if the crystal on these are curved or not. It almost looks like it would have to be.
Andrew Yeah, I think I think it it it matches the flow of the case. So
Everett and so with this polished Onyx, it is almost like a mirror black finish. It is just it's like deep and glossy and boom boom pow.
Andrew Yes. Um man,
Everett this thing is wild and really good. Really good. Yeah, and and you know, look, it's kind of a subtle difference from the pre prior version of this, but that black onyx is just like um comes on two straps and the black
Andrew hand the black gold hands.
Everett Really nice. really nice. A
Andrew murdered out but not dress watch.
Everett It is a um it is it comes on two straps. We've got a silk, a beautiful silk strap, probably not a daily wear strap. Um and and then it also comes with a leather-lined Alcantara strap, which actually I think is a little a little plain, a little matte for this. I wish that it's tame like on a
Andrew the silk of the the silk grain alone of the strap
Andrew it is what causes the bummer
Andrew in the leather strap. Yeah,
Everett I I I I actually think I I think a a better decision would have been silk for true black tie and then like crocodile for
Andrew perhaps a little bit more casual
Everett and I could say casual casual with finger quotes but um yeah this thing's really really good and and you know what we it sounds like we're we're describing of an insanely oh it's got the what does it have it's that Slita S1000
Andrew yeah one B
Everett uh movement which is a i don't know i've never heard of this movement it's a very nicely finished 18 joule 288000 or 28800 movement with a 46 hour power reserve beautiful movement. i i don't think you can see it. I don't think you can see it, but it's a beautiful movement. Um this sounds to me like it should be a ten thousand, twelve thousand dollar watch.
Andrew Yes, they're able to do it, including
Everett that, which is crazy. Yeah. It's crazy.
Andrew This thing is phenomenal. Phenomenal.
Everett So I I I looked it up. They called the last one the pewter blue. And you should look it up. It's a cool, it's a cool case, but the dial is the dial is not doing it for me, It's not
Andrew a good thing It's not that stark contrast between that Onyx mirror finished black. I mean it's like looking at your phone screen when there's no your screen isn't on. Uh that great light. And they have everything concentrated
Everett inside of the circle, so you really just have texture outside of that. It's a beautiful and interesting watch, but this opera black is like ho ho ho ho. Yeah. Very cool.
Andrew Yeah. If I tried one of these on, like if I if I was at if if they had it at wind up, this could be problematic for me.
Everett I mean, I I don't think for me, just because I have so little opportunity to wear it.
Andrew I just want it. Um you
Everett just want it for the next time you wear a tuxedo.
Andrew I'd I'd wear it in my birthday suit.
Everett I have recently been looking at tuxedos on eBay just 'cause I think it would be fun to have a tuxedo.
Andrew From like the 1950s?
Everett No, I'd probably go like 1990s.
Andrew No. Like a 1990s tuxedo. Real wide lapel.
Everett no, I mean like a you know standard size, yeah, like maybe three and a half inch lapel. I I I know what I'm looking for, but but then also I'm like, what am I gonna do with this?
Andrew When was the last time you wore a tuxedo?
Everett It's been a long time. Yeah. Yeah. It's been a decade probably. I don't know the last
Andrew time I even had occasion where I'm like, man, I might I might rent a tuxedo for this.
Andrew I went to promise a tuxedo, a
Everett tuxedo isn't like isn't like a suit, right? Where you're like, I could
Andrew I could pull this off at the next time I go to a
Everett wedding, right? Like if you show up to a wedding in a tuxedo and they haven't said black tie, people are gonna be like, What the fuck are you wearing? Yeah, why
Andrew it's like it's like wearing a white dress to a
Andrew wedding. I was thinking the same exact thing.
Everett Like you're not allowed to wear that to your asshole. And you know, we we live in Eugene, right? I if we lived in New York or even Seattle, maybe you might be able to wear it like to the opera, right?
Andrew We don't if you wore a tuxedo to
Everett the opera, people would be like, What the fuck is this guy's gonna this guy's probably got a bomb under that thing, right? People would freak out. Someone called the cops.
Andrew I looked out of place wearing uh
Andrew a tweed sport coat at Hamilton.
Andrew Like I'm like overdressed,
Andrew folks. You are the problem here.
Everett You go to opera, Eugene, and there's like a lot of cargo shorts and burke and stuff. Yeah, and a lot of men's
Andrew toes showing. Yeah. Yeah. Please
Everett put the put the Tootssies away. We're at the opera.
Andrew Yeah the the the dogs are
Andrew not allowed here. Um
Everett now we have finished Square.
Andrew And if you look at our time,
Andrew we should we can maybe save
Andrew it. Oh, you think so? Let's
Everett see. Well hold on, hold on. Let's just see. Okay. Okay. I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine.
Andrew Yeah, I'm okay with not I'm okay with I might not close these links. Nah, I'm closing them. I close the links.
Everett Okay. Yeah, I I mean I think I'm gonna come back to to to the last one of mine, but uh Andrew. Andrew. Andrew. Other things, what do you
Andrew got? Okay. I have another thing. This
Andrew is another thing that we've talked about before.
Everett Okay. But it it
Andrew just I think everyone is sleeping on it. Because not
Andrew everyone has one. I want to talk about the Mora Niv Craftline Basic 511 high carbon steel fixed blade utility knife with a 3.6 inch
Everett blade. That's
Andrew a really long name because it's on Amazon. Because if you buy it from Moraniv, more knive?
Everett I more knives. You said more kniv and I was like more
Andrew knife? I don't know. It's M-O-R-A-N-F-C-C What?
Everett Mora? Can we just say Mora? That feels that feels good to me. I
Andrew like Mora better anyhow. Um
Andrew But here's the deal. They're
Andrew eleven dollars and ninety-nine cents to your front door, delivered in two days, and in some places tomorrow. We recently got introduced to next day delivery. I don't know if you've experienced that. Uh
Everett I started to get reckless on Amazon when
Andrew I was like, Oh, I this I can get this tomorrow? Yeah, I want it. Um so fastest delivery, it is well, this one's slow. Uh doesn't matter.
Andrew Okay, so what we have here is a
Andrew high carbon uh Scandinavian style blade on a poly poly plastic ergonomic handle. Um here's why I want to talk about this again. Number one, it costs exactly
Andrew no money. It's $11.99.
Andrew You could lose twelve dollars out of your wallet and you wouldn't even notice. This comes with a kind of a bummer kydex sheath, but it holds it really well. It's a good bag knife. The sheath does not is not great for wearing on a belt. It wouldn't be great for wearing on a vest. Bunch of different handle colors, but here's the reason I want to talk about it again. So this weekend, uh, like I said, I went crabbing with the kids. Um, I stopped by Fred Meyer on the way out of town, grabbed a couple whole chickens to carve up and throw in the bait uh throw in his bait. We get out to the dock and I realized
Andrew that because it was uncomfortable driving with
Andrew my benchmate in my pocket, I took it out and I threw it in the center console of my truck.
Andrew Which I'm not far away from my truck.
Everett But I opened up the m my fishing
Andrew bag that I carried over my shoulder out there and I had my mora in it. I haven't used this knife in a very long time. It's just been sitting in there and waiting. And I carved up two chickens i in about or perhaps
Andrew just a touch more time than
Andrew I would have using like a fillet knife. Like I I use a boning knife when I carve chickens. Super sharp, super easy to clean, costs next to nothing. This is the kind of knife that if my kids are using it and they drop it off the edge of the dock, I do not care. But
Andrew it's it's okay, buddy. It's so great. The steel
Andrew on it holds its edge really well. It's easy to sharpen. And even if
Andrew it's not easy to sharpen, just get a new one.
Everett Yeah, they're not easy to sharpen. It's scandy grind. I don't think they're easy to sharpen. I've put it I've I've
Andrew re-edged mine. Uh I
Everett I I think um I I think that it it's it's got a pretty big bevel and it's hard to to hold the bevel. Um you can make it sharp again, but I think they're hard to sharpen. With that said, you'd really don't need to sharpen. They stay they stay sharp forever. Buy
Andrew five of them. They come in all kinds of different colors. I have the orange because uh it's a knife that because I don't care about it, I set it down recklessly. Whereas like when I have my benchmate out and I'm using it, I'm like really deliberate. I like I I wipe it, I close it, I return it to my pocket. This I'm just like, oh, put it down right here and we'll we'll move on. Uh
Andrew it is such a great
Andrew thing to have in your bag, in your truck, in your car, in every single one of your camping bags, in every single one of your outdoor bags, because they cost nothing, they weigh nothing. These are fantastic. That's why this is this is coming in as a round two. Because I found one in my bag and it did more than I expected it to do right out of the box.
Everett You know what's funny is last last weekend I went fishing with my boys and uh I've got a fishing I've got like a a a fishing bag why I've got my fly stuff, my my fly fishing stuff, but then I've got like a gear bag that when I'm going fishing with the boys and just fishing.
Andrew I have my shoulder bag for when I go fishing by myself.
Everett And then I have a big tackle box for when I take kids
Andrew fishing. And in that
Everett front pocket of that bag is a moronnife that I don't even know when I bought. Um and Wes caught a fish and I pulled that fucker out and it was just that, yep, really glad I have this in here. And I haven't thought about it. I haven't thought about that in probably a year. It's just been sitting the nope. Nope. Not a single restaurant. I had
Andrew a couple little oxidation oxidized spots on mine.
Everett Yeah, no, this one was um I mean it basically looked brand new. So um you know I keep it on the garage it's not like it's getting weather but um yeah it it I've probably and you know the thing is I bought it for twelve bucks I probably used it two dozen times and you know it's like I'm not using it often enough to like that thing will last forever.
Andrew This shin this th these should be like chapstick in your life. You have chapstick in every bag, in every fucking drawer, all over. Like you should have chapstick and a mora side by side
Everett Sure. I I'm with that. I I I I don't I endorse that philosophy, Andrew.
Andrew Okay. Uh Andrew,
Everett I've got another thing. Do me. I believe I believe that on this show prior to today, I have talked about bombas. I think that's how you say it. Bombus dress socks. I got clued into Bombus a a brand for socks a few years back. I think you've
Everett talked about it a couple of times. And
Everett I bought some of the dress socks and I was like, you know what? They're great. So it's kind of hard to buy, it's kinda hard to find um over the calf socks, right? and if you're wearing a suit, you really need to have over the calf socks.
Andrew Yeah. And what's
Everett that? Yeah. Yeah. But it's hard to find them, right? Like you can't find them. Like you're not gonna find them at at Nordstrom Rack. You're not gonna find them at you know, but depending on what size city you you're in. Like if you're in a city that's that's less than say
Andrew a full mil six yeah,
Everett a million probably, you might have a hard time finding over the cast stocks. So anyway, you gotta order them. I got clued into Bombas a few years ago. Bombas is a great company. They make tons of good cop tons of good socks. And also they're a one-for-one company, right? So you buy one, they donate one. Um I got clued into Bombas dress socks and I and I have worn them for for several years. That's been my primary dress stock. And they're not cheap. They're about 1750 a pair, depending on what kind of sales you get or whatever. that's sort of retail. Um someone told me recently about a company, they said, you know, if you like Bombas, you really ought to try the cotton sock from boardroom socks. They're made in the USA. So I I don't know where bombas are made. Not the USA for sure. Um you really oughta try the cotton dress sock from um boardroom socks. It's a like a long staple, blah blah blah. it's thinner. The ribbing feels nicer. It's just an overall nicer sock. For his
Andrew part. So I pull him up. I pull him
Everett up and I'm like, kind of expensive, a little bit more expensive than Bombas.
Andrew And they're not donating a pair. So you're like
Everett And they're not donating a pair. That's right. Um and so I'm like,
Everett well, you know what? Fuck
Everett it. I'll I'll take a spell I'll I'll take a a spin. And I picked up a six pack and they came in. I was like, I'm never gonna buy a pair of bombas again. Like that's it. It just happened. I'm I'm there was no reason for me ever to buy a pair of bombas. So they're a little bit more expensive. We're closer to twenty bucks a pair on these. Um
Andrew nineteen fifty right now on the website.
Everett And Tennessee.
Andrew Yeah, that's the state of Tennessee.
Everett These are terrific. If you're a human who finds yourself wearing over-the-calf socks or finds yourself wearing a suit and you're not even if you're not now wearing over-the-calf socks, start wearing over-the-calf socks, it'll change your life. And
Andrew a suit for long periods. I have a couple pairs
Andrew of over-the-calf that I wear when I know I'm gonna be a suit all day. A lot of my suit wearing is like four hours.
Everett Yeah. And I just wear not
Andrew over the calf socks. Yeah,
Everett see I I can't do it, man. You know you know what I hate? You know what I hate, Andrew? Is where I'm wearing uh I'm wearing a suit. And it this will happen if I go to court and I'm like in call and I'm sitting in the pews and I I look down and I realize that my sock has like crept it down off my cap. It drives me nuts. So I'm a set and forget it guy. Um, so I've got socks that are made by a company. You don't wear shirt
Andrew stays that hold your shirt down and your socks up?
Everett I I don't, but sometimes I think about getting those. Um like garters, sock
Andrew garters. Uh I you know, I was
Everett in a play when I was a a younger man and I there was a scene where I took off my pants and I was wearing sock garters. I just thought play cool as it's
Andrew called an adult show.
Everett It was not. It was like it was called Laughter on the 23rd floor. It was fantastic. Anyway, uh, that's another life. Um I got socks from Pantherello. And they're very expensive. They're too like I've I've purchased a few of these, but it feels really frivolous. I mean, they're like 35 bucks a pair, and it's like, holy shit, that's too much money. Um boardroom. If you're not gonna buy panther Allahs, which I'm not gonna buy Panther Alas. I every once in a while maybe to splurge, but boardroom socks, six pair for what? What'd I just send you? Six pair for
Everett uh six pairs for $108.50.
Everett I got $124. Where are you getting $108?
Andrew Uh the black over the cotton or black cotton over the calf dress socks on the boardroom socks.com website save seven percent when you buy six pairs in size eight to twelve. Uh I'm sh you might be a size thirteen to sixteen guy because they I know what they say about guys with big feet. Big socks.
Everett And if you get the multi-pack, don't buy but also if you're buying black socks, just stop it. What are you gonna wear black socks for?
Andrew With your tuxedo that you're wearing your uh your Arno Sopra with
Everett the I should have
Andrew opened the pair that you sent me. I did. I
Everett was gonna say I sent you a link. Um they're just
Andrew um they're just really nice.
Everett They're really nice. And I was kind of stunned as a guy who was like, I'm a bombus guy. I'll try these, but I love Bombus. It it's just a nicer sock. It's just nicer. So if you wear a suit and yet and you haven't tried boardroom, 100% cotton made in the USA, they also have a merino line. I don't like merino socks. I think they don't last as long. I'm just not I'm not into it. I'm a cotton sock guy. Um uh yeah I I would make the move if you're wearing anything besides uh these I would consider at least trying them out because I'm I'm a true believer at this point.
Andrew I'm just gonna link to boardroom socks.
Everett Great. Take your pick. Great.
Andrew I've got them all. Mid calf, no show, colors, over the calf, all of it.
Everett Do you feel the hook on your waist?
