Synopsis

In this episode of the 40 and 20 WatchClicker podcast, hosts Andrew and Everett discuss recent watch releases and industry news. Everett is preparing for a ski trip to Alta, his favorite mountain, while Andrew recovers from a busy weekend of children's activities. The hosts cover several notable releases including Studio Underdog's pizza-themed collaboration with Time and Tide, IWC's murdered-out Portuguese Chronograph in Ceratanium, and Raymond Weil's new Tuxedo Millesime colorways.

The conversation shifts to more technical releases like Dryden's updated Chrono Diver Gen 2, Seiko's collaborative 5 Sports with HUF featuring a transparent dial, and Parole's stone-dial Weekend dress watch. The hosts express particular enthusiasm for Zinn's 65th anniversary 903 in titanium with a striking glacier blue dial, as well as Tutima's Patria 6612 in titanium with impressive finishing and dramatic crown guards. They wrap up discussing the wild artistic collaboration between Resence and Japanese artist Ikeda-san on a Type 9 featuring intricate Raden and Urushi lacquer work. In their "Other Things" segment, Andrew recommends the mind-bending film "Kinds of Kindness" starring Jesse Plemons and Emma Stone, while Everett raves about his new Anova precision vacuum sealer and sous vide setup.

Speaker
Andrew Hello, fellow watch lovers, nerds, enthusiasts, or however you identify. You're listening to 40 and 20, the WatchClicker podcast with your hosts Andrew and my good friend Everett. Here, we talk about watches, food, drinks, life, and other things we like. Everett, how are you? Hold on. Better now.
Everett I'm realizing I should have cracked that beer twenty minutes ago.
Andrew Yeah, you know, we've we've been uh we we had probably one of our longer pre-show like catch up chats and the last five minutes of it were quite a roller coaster of experience for you. Yeah. So uh
Everett I'm doing well. I I leave I will be on an airplane. I think what time is it? Eight thirty? Yeah. So I'll be in an airplane in what is that? Four plus yeah. I mean just a few hours. Like
Andrew nine hours. You'll be on an airplane in nine hours. I can do the math for you real quick on that one
Everett uh so yeah doing pretty doing pretty well because i'm gonna go skiing at alta tomorrow oh fun is like my favorite place in the world alta is my favorite mountain. I haven't been to them all, obviously. But of the mountains I have been to, which is more than more than a few, Alta is my favorite.
Andrew And it sounds really really, great.
Everett It's uh you know, it's a really big place. Alta is a big place. It it's well
Andrew it's a mountain, so sure.
Everett It it's it is um on the same property as Snowbird. So it's actually people say Alta Snowbird. Um but Alta is the ski only side. So it's just skiers. We
Andrew don't want those snowboarders, those hoodlums of riffraff.
Everett No criminals. Um, but it's just beautiful. It's just beautiful. It's average age of like older than me, probably. It's just an old people mountain. And I just love it because I'm an old person. You
Andrew know what that means, though? That means that it's being really well groomed, really high level of service.
Everett I mean it's groomed. It's groomed. Yeah. It's good.
Andrew And for for me, like to imagine some place where that's where the old people go. They have their th they can go anywhere and that's where they're comfortable.
Everett Yeah. And that means that things are being
Andrew done to keep them comfortable.
Everett It is I mean, and it's not just old people, right? There's young people there too, but it is definitely an older crowd than most places I've been to. So there's a lot of money up there too. The canyon. Andrew, how are
Andrew you? I'm I'm good. I I don't know, it's kind of like a w a whirlwind of a weekend that was like uh birthday parties and birthday parties and classes and Yeah, it like it was sort of all go, no stop. And finally I'm I'm stopping and I'm just like reeling a little bit from the activities.
Everett Have a beer. I I'm you know I'm gonna
Andrew I'm I'm gonna enjoy it too. Have a
Everett beer. Um so yeah I'm I'm
Andrew good. I'm just kinda uh coming down off of a busy busy couple days. And it's not busy with stuff I want to be doing. I hate kids' birthday parties. I hate sitting in the uncomfortable chairs or bleachers or stands adjacent to kids' practices. You're a bit of a grudge. A little bit. Uh, but that's not I my idea of fun. It's just not fun at all. I did watch uh I saw today that uh IndyCar and NASCAR were had back-to-back races, and IndyCar was racing in St. Petersburg, and NASCAR was racing at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. So that kind of played like Florida
Everett or Russia? St. Petersburg, Florida. Okay.
Andrew And man, IndyCar is a lot of fun to watch. Also learned that they have a race on their tour in Portland. So in August, uh
Everett PIR. Yeah, PIR, yeah. So in August,
Andrew we're gonna go watch an Indy car race.
Everett Nice. Which I think will be really fun. Nice.
Andrew Yeah. My uh great-grandfather's
Everett in the Portland International Raceway Hall of Fame.
Andrew For what? Uh
Everett he was like sort of an early pioneer of IndyCar and Sckto car in the United
Everett States. How about that? And he was a
Everett pinstriper. He was an ASCAR pinstriper until um early 80s.
Andrew Yeah. You should come you you and the and the boys should come with me and Mark to go watch IndyCar PIR..
Everett That'd be fun Yeah. It'd be fun. Um, but in any event, we're not here to talk about racing or anything else. I don't remember what I talked about. Oh, snow, ski mountains. Uh we're here to talk about watches, Andrew, and I think we're going to. I think that is the plan.
Andrew I'm open to it. Well, why don't you start then? Uh I I think I shall.
Everett I am gonna start with oh
Andrew a fun one from studio underdog so studio underdog and time and tide have done two collaborations up to this point? Three? A couple collaborations. Uh this newest one is pizzas. A cheese and a burnt pepperoni.
Everett The new pizzas. Yeah. Um is
Everett this an annual release at
Everett this point? I maybe.
Andrew I don't know. Is it?
Everett I know they did one a set
Everett last year. They did one in
Andrew 2024. Uh I don't
Everett know, a a handful. Uh
Andrew so these are pizza variety. The cheese pizza is very subtle, right? As you would expect a cheese pizza to be. When you're told it's supposed to be a cheese pizza, you you can fully accept it for that. But otherwise, it's a really lovely gold and red, sunbursty uh colorway, but the the pepperoni pizza, the burnt pepperonis, have also mushrooms and what look like basil leaves on it.
Everett Did you say basel? Yeah, because it's more fun. Okay.
Andrew Uh I know it's pronounced basil.
Everett Hey, you do but I like basil leaves. You do you.
Andrew Um and it's I mean it's Studio Underdog, right? So it's it's watches that we're really familiar with that we love, uh ST movement and these are coming in at um they're so they're they first became available in new york on february twenty sixth they'll be available in Australia on March 5th, and they'll be available on March 7th at the British Watchmakers Day event. So I imagine at British Watchmakers Day, they'll have another uh snaking queue in front of the studio underdog booth for people to wait in line for their own
Everett You think these pull a line? I don't think these are line
Everett standing in line watches. Do you
Everett you Really? I don't.
Andrew I wouldn't have thought the Manhattan would be either.
Everett I think that that because of the Fierce Collaboration
Everett and I think that's more of a standing in line watch. Um no, these are fine. You know, Andrew, I the
Andrew the burnt pepperoni also is a P V D coated case. I forgot to mention
Everett that. Uh that's true. And it comes with a it comes with a P V D
Everett bracelet if you're so inclined.
Everett Um I you know how sometimes people say I'm
Everett so tired of the
Everett swatch releases and then I say, oh come on, you know, the
Andrew more is more. More is more.
Everett Uh I feel I may be a touch
Everett burnt out. Oh, you're there now, huh?
Everett On I may be a touch burnt out on these releases. They're fun. And
Everett I still feel that way. More is more.
Everett Um with that said, I am maybe just a tu
Everett I saw these and I was like, yeah, right.
Everett You know. Oh, oh, I
Andrew th I was looking through my links for a swatch release.
Everett No, no, I mean with the studio underdog releases. Yeah,
Andrew but you know what? I I think in the way of
Andrew a collaboration watch, it's a such a it's very much like the like swatch it's such a colorful platform already that to add a new colorway just to make a couple little tweaks it's a perfectly customizable platform to do something a little bit different and not be out of the ordinary. And because he's working with so many colors and so many materials all in that ilk, it's an easy collaboration to have happen. Uh, and to say that you've collaborated with Studio Underdog is a really cool thing to be able to say.
Everett Totally. And uh
Andrew I don't know, I'm I don't Maybe I'm played out on the hype that comes along with them. These feel kind of more to me closer to like a red bar collaboration where it's like the the people in the crew deserve to be excited about it and if you like it you like it but hype around it kind of seems like well you like
Everett Yeah I I mean I'm not seeing any I'm not seeing any hype uh over these. I mean maybe
Everett some, but I think if you want
Everett a pizza watch, you get these.
Andrew I love pizza and I love watches.
Everett Good point. The only way
Andrew he could make this better is if he had some sort of like
Andrew um uh liquid chamber in there that would allow you to like as you turned your watch fill a fill a beer pint
Everett that was also on the dial and then
Andrew then you turned it back it would it would disappear and empty 'cause then you could have a pizza and beer watch. And then and then that watch is for me. Yeah. That's my thing. Uh
Everett yeah. No, I I I like 'em. I'm not I'm not upset with them, but uh I also saw 'em and was just a little like
Andrew I like 'em. I think the pepperoni is really fun. I like pepperoni of mushrooms and
Everett Yeah. No, it's fun. And it's it's good. Yeah.
Andrew What's on your sock? It looks like a
Andrew child got at it with a marker.
Everett Oh you know, I think it's a
Everett sailboat theme. I'm not sure.
Everett I I don't know. I oh
Everett yeah, it is it's like a island. Oh it's
Andrew a beach theme. Okay. On this
Andrew side it, it looks like my six-year-old got a hold of your sock and a blue marker.
Everett Um you know what, let's just
Everett let's just come out swinging, brother.
Everett Let's just let's do it. Did you
Andrew see the Vince McMahon crash
Andrew video and subsequent stop? Yeah.
Everett That guy is that is not the
Andrew Vince McMahon I remember. Well
Everett yeah, I mean he's getting old and you know I think there's a lot of drugs. Oh yeah.
Everett Uh IWC. IWC, the
Everett International Watch Company, has
Everett released a did
Everett we have we decided is it Portuguese
Everett or Portuguese? Portuguese?
Andrew I don't know. Portuguese. Chronograph.
Everett In Ceratanium.
Andrew You know, the the thing this year and really the last six months has been stone dials, which I'm tired of.
Everett We've got some stone dial tonight. I'm tired
Andrew of them. And weird metals.
Andrew What is this
Andrew and why? So seritanium
Everett is a specific
Everett titanium alloy that has a composition
Everett that when baked,
Everett when heated to a high degree, carbonizes the out outer layer to a ceramic like
Andrew material. So it burns.
Everett It burns it into ceramic
Everett essentially. So what you get
Everett is the hardness
Everett properties of ceramic without the brittleness. You get titanium, which is flexible and not brittle, not brittle,
Everett uh, with titani with ceramic
Everett hardness. Now that's the story they're telling us. I I don't know I don't know w w w how much of that is true. How close is this finish to I don't know. And and so if you're a metallurgist and you have feelings on these, uh you could let us know. But
Everett it is, yeah, it's a phase transition
Everett of the underlying metal as opposed to it it is it they say it forms a ceramic crust.
Andrew I mean I've burnt the shit out of aluminum trays and it form it forms a pretty strong crust.
Everett That is polymerized oil, which is a little bit different.
Andrew No, the outside. And like left the grill on and left the tray on the grill. It's interesting.
Everett Whoa. In any event, this is a uh black titanium watch that is
Andrew black end, I think, as opposed to black titanium.
Everett Metal is black, the um
Everett dial is black, the writing on the dial is black, the subdials are black,
Everett the movement is black, the sapphire
Everett on the back of the watch is smoked so that it's black. Uh and the strap is unsurprisingly. Black, yes. Uh which I'm not a I'm
Everett typically not a huge fan of Murdered Out. And
Everett in fact, if you told me what this watch was, if you described this watch to me, I would say not interested. Pass, move on.
Andrew Your description of it was fitting.
Everett But then I saw this thing and I was like,
Everett you know. So this is this is a IWC
Everett chronograph, which has their bicompacts at 12 and 6, definitely like a top gun type layout. And
Everett um man, I
Everett like it. I really, really like this. Now it's twelve thousand dollars, I think. So uh
Andrew it's fourteen thousand. I i oh yeah,
Everett you're right fourteen six yeah uh and it's limited to sixteen hundred pieces fifteen hundred pieces so um yeah I don't like it that much I mean I I don't like any watch that much uh but supposedly Ed Sheeran
Everett wore this. I want
Andrew the one that he wore. Which is kind of
Everett fun. No, it's cool, man.
Everett This is really, really, really
Everett cool. It it is a neat
Andrew uh metal application for sure, but in the way of a watch, like I don't know, I The whole point of a watch like this is to be highly legible. And this is not. This to me, this murdered out black on black on black, and these uh
Andrew like even the tones of black that are used
Andrew in the dial feels like Nixon to me.
Everett It does have a Nixon vibe to it, you're not wrong. Uh, I still like it. Um I I thought we agreed at some point in the show, a long time ago, that people who bitch about legibility in watches are dumb. We
Andrew do, and I agree with that. I'm not saying this isn't legible, but this like everything about this watch just screams Nixon to me.
Everett We're not gonna be able to unsee that though. Not
Andrew because it's not legible, right? Like how how I don't know. I think
Everett this is cool, man. I like it.
Everett I like it. I I saw it and I was like, oh. Oh, and I really like I I'm
Everett I'm a sucker man, but I am all
Everett about the ceramicised titanium. Ceramitized. Circumcised? Circumcised titanium. I'm about it. Yeah.
Andrew Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
Everett I think it's kind of cool. It doesn't do it for me.
Andrew Well, fair enough. The technology's cool.
Everett What's next? Uh Raymond
Andrew Weil. Yeah. A trio of Tuxedo to the Mil Sem Small Seconds 39. Uh, and these are all lovely. Uh, we have a white primary on the inner ring with a green hour track, a and
Andrew then just like a little little touch of green
Andrew in the minute track. It's a cool something something. It I think it's maybe it's black. I don't know. The the color plays interesting in different lights. I think they say it's black. But it has like green hue to it when I see it. Um it's black. A dark blue with a black ring and a red grape with a white ring. And I I think
Everett that's a really good description of the
Andrew color. It's a little metallic, but it looks like
Andrew a red seedless grape
Andrew uh and these are really really well done we've seen the millisimes before
Everett yeah we I think every time they've come out
Everett with a millisime we,'ve said good things about it. We're going to
Andrew every time they work. These are two uh twenty two hundred and ninety-five US dollars uh Salita SW261 movement.
Everett Which is just a small second S200, I think.
Andrew 39mm case, 10.25 thick. Uh these are just plain old stainless steel. Not uh
Everett it hasn't been not oven oven
Andrew basted and extra toasty. Um 50 meters of water resistance. These are really good color combinations for these. I like them.
Everett Yeah, no, I'm a fan. I I'm a big fan of these. The
Andrew midnight blue is what's like really slapping for me uh with that black chapter ring it like just makes the blue pop in a way that if they had gone blue all the way around uh it just wouldn't and nails it. Hands are good. I do think that
Everett that midnight blue could have pulled off a white chapter ring, but
Andrew Yeah, I think so, but I think it would have made it less midnight. And it just would have been blue.
Everett These are um these are loomed numerals
Andrew so instead of the baton markers that we
Everett have on the other these are a decidedly
Everett more whimsical play
Everett you know play I think these are the same case same dimensions as the original melee CMA's, uh which is as we've said on this uh on this show,
Everett it's a really good size and
Everett shape uh for a watch.
Andrew Yeah. Yeah. These are great.
Everett I I mean I think I think the price
Everett on these, the twenty two hundred, it m puts them in
Everett there's a lot of competition there, right? So so there's a ton of watches that you could look at at that price range. But it's not 4,000. It's not 5,000. I mean, they're they're up there.
Andrew Yeah, and the this is I think the hardest space for
Everett lead to 200. Yeah. But this is the hardest
Andrew place for a watch company to to compete, I think, it because there's so much happening at that price range that there's like you gotta really, really like that watch in particular to to be competitive.
Everett Yeah. Um, cause if this is a twelve
Andrew hundred dollar watch, this thing is this thing is going gangbusters.
Everett Yeah. No, I I I mean if it's twelve hundred or even fifteen hundred, I'm like, this thing is
Andrew yeah, bye, bye, bye, bye,
Everett bye. Um, no, these are great. All of all the all three dials are good.
Everett I I'm I'm probably partial to the traditional
Everett tuxedo, the white dialed. It
Everett looks the there's a couple pictures where it
Andrew looks really green. I
Everett think it is a they call it cream
Everett in some of the marketing materials. I wonder if
Andrew that cream and the and the black are interacting in a way to make the make the the band like the chapter ring or not the chapter ring but the hour ring look uh green
Everett I do have one criticism okay
Everett the font on the subdial is uh a leave it for me both the numeral font and the cursive italic
Everett font is they're both or I guess the serifed italic. Uh both of those are a lead it for me. But everything else I'm really high on. The the font of the numerals, of the Arabic numerals is great. The crown is great on these things. I always forget how good their crown is. This is a really
Andrew I love the claw foot lugs too. Yeah.
Everett They they've they've done a really good job
Everett with this watch. Sure have. You got something next? Am I up?
Andrew It is your turn. You did
Everett a thing where I started to send watches and then you interrupted me in the middle of my watches. Uh oh,
Everett Jerry. Oh, yeah. Dryden introduced an update to the Chrono Diver collection.
Everett So the Chrono Diver was released, I
Everett think, in 2019.
Everett It's a VK63 chronograph that I think
Everett came out at like 320 bucks.
Everett Um and in
Everett 2019, I think it was a banger. I think it I went back and looked at some pictures, and I think today it looks a little dated. I was like, you know what? That watch looks pretty 2019.
Andrew The original Chrono Diver? The Chrono Diver
Everett Volume 1 or version 1.
Andrew That's probably why there's a G2. Jerry
Everett has updated that and I think he hit
Everett it out of the park. So um three
Everett versions of the new Chrono Diver two. These
Everett are all um very similar. So VK63 watch, but he's introduced
Everett a solid N-link and
Everett five-piece or five-link bracelet, what I'd call a Jubilee. Um But what others would call a five-link. And has kind of I
Andrew think both of those representations will be accurate.
Everett I think has done a couple things here.
Everett One, I think that he has with the details become
Everett slightly more accurate to the source material that he was going for, sort of that vintage 60s, 70s. This has more accurate vintageness, but I also think it's a slightly
Everett newer homage.
Everett I think what it's homaging to is slightly newer than the version one. So I think this
Everett these lean more into that 70s. We've got a bit of tag
Everett in there. Um, and especially with the bracelet, gosh, I think these are great.
Everett There is a a black vintage dial and
Everett bezel on silver steel.
Everett There is a black vintage on PvD steel. And then there's also PvD
Everett is also so like
Andrew gently applied. It's not a
Everett super dark black. Looks like sooty.
Everett Yeah. It's a really nice,
Everett a nice looking PvD.
Everett Um he's recessed the the pushers a little bit so i
Everett think it's just a better watch
Everett this is a much better i there's nothing wrong the the the version one of
Everett these, I think, was fine. Especially in 2019, I think it was more than fine. It was a really cool watch. This is a way better watch. You can just tell tiptoe. So he's he's
Andrew leveraged the last six years, seven years of advancements in his own maturation as a designer and and how the industry has moved and updated the watch in a really meaningful way.
Everett The case profile really I mean it's where you can really tell it's just a much more it's just a much more uh what's the word refined case profile
Everett uh with those recessed pushers and the
Everett the bezel is much
Everett more refined. Everything.
Everett The version 1 was a great watch. This is just a much better watch.
Everett Um, we prices have
Everett gone up about 25%. So to get into
Everett this, I think you're looking at 425.
Andrew 450. 4700 450
Everett for the the Gen 2
Everett blue panda and black vintage. 475 for the PPD.
Everett Um Uh and they're available now. And
Everett they're great. These are really good. VK
Everett VK63 on these still. It's
Everett not an automatic chronograph, but at that price you wouldn't expect it to be.
Andrew It'd be cool if it was.
Everett Sure. I mean, especially if it was $450.
Andrew The uh the alternate loom on the bezel, like the very yellow, almost
Everett like nuclear yellow
Andrew loom color on the bezel with the green on the dial is a really cool contrast.
Everett Yeah. Uh I
Andrew really like this blue. It's like a tropical ocean beach blue on the
Andrew blue panda. Yeah, it's a great blue.
Everett It's the blue the blue dialed uh
Everett version of this is just is so much better than the
Everett gen 1. Yeah. You
Andrew know a lot of names for blue based on your uh on your professional paint industry knowledge. What would you call this blue?
Everett Sure. I'd call that um yeah, I'd call that um Antilles.
Andrew Blue blue seems to be the color you know the
Andrew most about. Is that right? It you
Andrew have a hundred different names for blue and then you have a uh like eight other colors in your vocabulary. Uh every time we see a blue, you're like, Oh, it's this color blue. I'm like, what the fuck? That that that doesn't make it like you're grand secoing this blue right now. Every other color it's like really reasonable. Um but blues you have a you have a keen eye for
Everett I'm trying to think of what you might be talking about and I I I I don't think I've got a ton of blue in me, but maybe
Andrew You have a ton of blue vocabulary words.
Everett All right. Wow. Sometimes I'm pretty sure you're making
Andrew them up. Oh yes, Royal Denim.
Everett What the fuck? That's
Andrew not a color.
Everett Uh this watch is cool.
Andrew It it is. Uh and the price is good.
Everett It is. Good work, Jerry. What's next?
Andrew Uh the new Seiko 5 Sports SRPM
Andrew O9HU
Andrew F edition. Uh
Andrew and I I I don't know anything about the inspiration here all I can say is that I looked at it and I was just smitten. It's so dumb. It is a bizarro watch. It doesn't make any sense. It kind of is a uh three hand watch. So we'll we'll get into it here real quick. This is a it's a Seiko 5 Sports, so it's 39.4 millimeter case, 48 lug to lug, 116 thick, hard lex crystal, 100 meters of water resistance, 4R36 movement. These are
Everett it's just a seiko five sports. It's just a seiko
Andrew five sports, right? Um what is I I didn't even think to look what H U F is, but what I do know is that this dial blew my mind. I initially hated it and then I started looking at it, and I I was just captured by it as though I was like reading the code in the matrix. So it's got kind of a surfboard uh black band with this lime green with all of
Andrew the date wheel
Andrew visible underneath, but in a way that's kind of obscured, so it looks like you're
Everett you can partially see it and partially you're looking
Andrew at the code of the matrix. Uh
Everett Huff is a Bay Area like clothing brand.
Andrew Oh, I don't know anymore. It's not cool enough for me. Uh but it's cool to have like a sapphire dial that you can just just see through and see into the date wheel working underneath, but in a way that you don't immediately recognize it's the the day and date wheels. Uh it's this kind of like ghosty um like almost like a mirage beneath the dial. It's it's neat. Uh
Everett yeah, I like it. It's cool
Everett Uh it's good. It's
Everett good. It was on our list that last week and it didn't quite make it, but
Andrew it it makes sense it didn't make it because it's it's not terribly exciting. It's just interesting because it's something a little bit different from like because it's a collaborative release.
Everett Uh Parole. Parole, who makes uh
Everett watches. Uh oftentimes
Everett with like wild spinny things on
Everett the dial. Paraly released a watch
Everett this week that is not wild or spinny. It is Andrew's favorite thing, which is to say it is a stone-dial
Everett dress watch. What
Everett they're calling i this is the weekend. They're calling it the weekend, but they've got all the ease. So it's not like uh it's not like the performing artist
Everett the weekend. It's it's all all of the ease the weekend. Did you
Andrew send me a link for this? Hmm. Oh yeah, I just didn't open it because I it's got a stone dial and I didn't care.
Everett Uh yeah. And you know what, Andrew?
Everett I really, I really like it.
Everett Um so what this is is a fairly simple. I'm gonna call this, I'm gonna call this a sports
Everett watch, but it's a dress sport watch.
Everett Uh, with a 9.56 millimeter profile and 50 meters of water resistance that comes on both sort of green either green croc
Everett or a fantastic four-link. It's not a Jubilee style four link, it's all the way across like a uh IWC bracelet. Um with a
Everett really slim, with a with a really like sort of slender
Everett bezel that's pushed all the way out to the side.
Everett Um, it comes on with
Everett a soap p321, um which is you know Fistina's sort
Everett of entry level movement uh which
Everett I think is quite a bit better than the
Everett the other movements in that world and it's sixteen hundred bucks, 1590 euro, 39
Everett millimeters, 9.56,
Everett even with the soaprod and the malachite
Everett dial, this is cheaper than our melee cime from Raymond Weill for a very similar watch. I mean, obviously we'd a less interesting case
Everett in this. The the Milisime has
Everett that three part case. This is more of just a traditional
Andrew Yeah, this is kind of a boring case.
Everett Right. Right. Um
Everett but still we've
Everett got probably a a comparable, if not a better movement.
Everett Uh we've got a thinner case,
Everett 9.56, same amount of water resistance, a malachite dial, uh, and a great bracelet. This bracelet is great. Um yeah it is.
Everett Sort of evocative of of
Everett uh you know neo-vintage IWC, I think.
Andrew Yeah, I think that's that that captures it.
Everett The only criticism I have about this is that the crown's
Everett a little too small. One of my favorite things about the melee cime is how great
Everett that crown is. Um, I'm just comparing these two because they both came up in the same
Everett week. The other thing that I think
Everett date window date window haters, uh, just don't look. If you're a date window hater,
Andrew pass on this, yeah. Just don't look. Because it's
Everett got a date window and it's in a real weird place. It's in a real I
Everett think because the bezel is so thin, they've got the date window occurring inside.
Everett It's not color matched or anything, right? So you just get this white date window inside the three o'clock marker, which
Andrew which is where a date window usually is,
Andrew I think because of the proportions of the dial, because of how th this is an all dial watch. But
Everett it usually it usually like cuts off a marker or is in place of a marker. This is all the way inside that fairly long baton
Everett marker. But if if this were to
Andrew have anything other than dial on the face of the watch, it would be where you'd expect it to be.
Everett Yeah. Um I think I like this though. I think this is a
Andrew I don't know where you put a date window on that to make it make sense. Maybe at the six.
Everett Yeah, maybe I mean you could do a porthole at
Everett six. Yum.
Andrew I think a yeah, I I maybe the date window was what I mean I'm I'm over stone at this point.
Everett Yeah. The last six months have been I'm
Everett kind of over malachite. I've never been a huge malachite guy. Uh we were talking about the green um oh what do you call it? The green what's the blue glass with the stars in it?
Andrew Aventurine. We were talking about the green event.
Everett The lapis of venturing the
Andrew the blue one, weren't we? No,
Everett it's green aventuring is what uh Nevada used and
Everett it's really, really cool.
Everett Uh I'm much, much for a
Everett green stone. I much prefer that to
Everett Malikine. I've just never been a huge no so the
Everett Nevada came in a lapis. They have a
Everett lapis, they have a blue adventuring and a green adventurine.
Andrew Yeah. Uh and and I was I I maybe that was the last stone that I was willing to tolerate for for the year. Because I was good with those.
Everett That green event tree. And now I'm
Andrew not. I'm I'm over stone. I'm over meteorite. I'm over. I'm over it. I was excited when they started. No everyone's done 10 aversions. Let's
Everett let's do something else, please.
Andrew Um,
Andrew I have another one. You know what I
Everett haven't seen in a while? Like a good winman
Andrew statin meteorite dial. Do you have
Everett one of those? No.
Andrew No. I I want to talk briefly about the Resence Type 9 IKE with Japanese Meteor d'Art execution. Um this thing is wild and Resence does wild stuff anyway without any kind of collaboration or artistic like external art input. Most Resence watches, I struggle to understand how what
Andrew to what it's telling me. Not just what
Andrew time it is, but like, are you telling me the time?
Everett But you feel like you could read this one. I feel
Andrew like I could wear this one.
Andrew Ah, this is cool.
Andrew So it's a type 9. It's a 39mm case. It's 11 thick. Polished grade 5 titanium that's DLC coated. Um so this is a Radan mother of pearl dial with Urushi lacquer that looks straight at a Tron. It has green and blue and purple and orange and red. And there is no way to tell the time with this watch. I don't tell me whatever you want. You cannot read this watch. You're wearing it because it's cool as shit. Uh, and it costs 32,000 Swiss francs. Yeah. This is gorgeous. They're only making eight of them. I'm sure they're already spoken for because they're going to select Ressence Retailers. This is like a display piece art installment kind of watch. And it looks so cool.
Everett Yeah, so these are made
Andrew by Ikeda-san,
Everett who is Teromasa Ikeda, who is a Radden and Arushi
Everett artist, so I'm sh I'm I
Everett assume that he comes from the
Everett fountain pen world because you see
Everett a lot of Radden Arushi fountain
Everett pens, right? That's where you go from like, like, you know,
Everett if you want a fountain pen, you can get a cheap steel fountain pen for 50 to
Everett 100 bucks. You want a gold nib fountain pen, you start at like 250.
Everett And and then, you know, you go between like 250 and a thousand
Everett dollars for a fountain pen, basically, somewhere in that range. Until you start adding Rodnarushi fountain
Everett pens and then it gets insane almost immediately.
Everett I mean you're looking at, you know, like two thousand dollars entry level for a craftsman made rod and fountain pen and and they just go up from there, right? So the I'm sure this is a person who
Everett because this is the most intricate
Everett rotten work I've ever seen in my life. It's
Andrew it's insane. It's insane.
Everett It is insane. The the link, the hodinky link that we're gonna send out has some like good macro photography of the dial and the subdial. It is totally freaking nuts. It's totally nuts. This is absolutely stunning.
Andrew Yeah, it's it's the as a
Everett watch. I don't know. I mean it's
Andrew it there appears to be a hand and there appears to be numbers.
Everett Yeah. That is all. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Everett I mean it it it almost looks
Everett I mean it looks like it's LED, right? It does. It looks like it's an LED. It's fucking wild, dude. Like this is you'd
Andrew expect this dial flashing behind a gamer as he's streaming on Twitch.
Everett Right. Or like on the panel of some like sci-fi spaceship.
Andrew Yes. It it's
Everett this really cool. I kinda passed on it
Everett probably because of the price and whatever, but I'm glad you talked about it. I th I think it was one of the more fun releases this week. One of the more interesting releases.
Andrew It's it's one of the most
Andrew beautiful dials I've ever seen. Oh albeit totally not functional.
Everett Well, I I'm sure it works as a watch,
Andrew but I can't read it. Yeah. I yeah.
Everett Um let me see.
Everett Do you have one of these on your list? I there's
Everett two watches that I want to talk about. It makes sense to talk about them together, but
Everett um you you you
Everett don't have either one of them uh
Everett zinn helmet uh zin has released a 903 which if you don't know the zin 903 is Zinn's licensed
Andrew It's the Navitimer. Brightling Nava timer.
Everett Uh they released a 65th
Everett anniversaryf
Everett the 903 in titanium.
Everett And they call this the 903 TIE
Everett 2. The reason it's TI 2 is because for their 30th
Everett anniversary, or perhaps their 35th anniversary. They released a titanium 903, which
Everett um now we're in their 60th
Everett anniversary. So I guess that is what 25 years ago they released this watch. So early 2000s. Um, here we are. Oh no, 30 years ago. Uh so 1996, is that right? So here for their 65th anniversary, 903 titanium 2, this is
Everett a full titanium 903 with
Everett the great Zen 903 bracelet
Everett uh that has this fantastic
Everett sort of the the color of
Everett this dial is the color of a glacier, not
Everett the top part of the glacier, but you know when the glacier starts to melt and you get that permafrost.
Andrew You know how we were earlier talking about your your blue vocabulary? This
Andrew is deep glacier
Everett blue. I
Andrew don't know if that was on purpose or if you realized it was happening while it was happening. No,
Everett no, it was very much on purpose. It was
Andrew very much on purpose. Uh it really is though.
Andrew It's that bright, like right after that you get an
Andrew ice sheer. Yes. Uh yes.
Everett It's like permafrost deep glacier blue.
Everett Uh it it's a great
Everett color. And this and
Everett and grade five titanium.
Everett Excuse me. Grade 5 titanium
Everett case, grade 5 titanium bracelet,
Everett comes with a shell cord of an
Everett strap. Uh Zen 903, uh
Everett 4950 bucks.
Andrew Yeah, this is what I
Everett might get this, Anna. I I every
Andrew time I see the 903, like I I love the Nava timer. I really want a NABA timer. Every time I see a 903, I'm like yeah, but I want that. I think I that's what I actually want. Me too. And
Everett this is half the price of a new Nava timer.
Andrew It's half the price of a used Nava Timer. And it it''ss and it's
Everett all grade five titanium on grade five titanium.
Andrew This is really like a really cool anniversary release.
Everett Silver bezel on this, rotate you know, in a inner rotating bezel. Uh it it it's I think got a lot
Everett of polish on it. Uh you do have
Everett some brushing on the case flanks and you
Everett also have the the the middle
Everett two links of the five link
Everett are brushed. But I
Andrew almost feel like this might be too much polish.
Everett It is a blingy wall. It's a blingy titanium watch.
Andrew For for what it is, I feel like it might be
Andrew a little little too much polish. I'm
Everett a huge fan of that. They also released
Andrew two new colors for the just their their straight regular 903. They're non-titanium.
Everett That's right. A good green. I'm gonna say a good green. It's sort of a
Everett British racing green. And then I think Andrew, I don't know what you think
Everett about this, but a good sort of like sunburst anthracite.
Andrew Yeah, kind of charcoal y. I I actually really like that. Uh I
Everett the British racing green kind of kind of slaps though, man.
Andrew With on that on that shell, that brown shell. Yeah.
Everett It's like sun ray or sunburst.
Andrew I wonder are these of because one the problem that I've had with Zen really since the beginning is that you can never get them.
Everett I think you can get these. They never get them. I
Andrew think they're Lumacast numerals on that
Everett titanium too they look like it yeah dude
Everett that is such a fucking rap they just
Andrew never have inventory I think
Everett it's Lumacast on all three of these on their
Andrew on their website um because I've been really close to pulling the trigger on Zins before. And it's like, oh, out of out of out of stock. And their website sucks. They did a big
Andrew upgrade, but it still sucks. Well,
Everett I mean you you would just go to watch buys you wouldn't you wouldn't buy a
Everett Xenon. So this is limited to 500 pieces. You can reserve it nowow.
Everett What does it say? It says how to reserve.
Everett Um, watch buys
Everett direct price $1,500
Everett deposit, non-refundable. And then the remaining balance at 344
Everett will be 3,440 will be due once your watch is completed. So
Andrew when are they gonna when do they anticipate delivery?
Everett I don't know that this says I don't think it says Andrew.
Andrew It's gotta be in the next three months. It's gotta be that
Everett you'd you'd think it would be pretty quick. Um yeah, dude, these are great. Um forty two sixty
Everett for the green on a
Everett strap, forty six hundred
Everett for both both of the green
Everett and the gray forty two sixty on the strap forty six eighty on a bracelet
Everett and then with the black
Everett it comes on like a black nylon two piece.
Everett Yeah. Anyway, there's one more. I uh let me do it. Yeah,
Andrew just I'll just rip, I'll just rip
Everett through it. So an another watch that came out in titanium this week that I was kind of like, I kind of had a double take because I was like, what even what even is this? So Tutima, Tutima, uhh Saxon Glashuta brand Tutima released a titanium Patria
Everett 6612 this week.
Everett And You know? I was like, do I have I ever considered a titanium patria in my life? The answer is no.
Andrew Should I have though? Yes.
Everett Should I have? Yes. So 6612 is the new Patria um uh format. And these are
Everett sort of Tutima's, you know, flagship. I I think this is their flagship uh sport dress watch.
Andrew When they're dropping it in titanium, so clearly that's where they're putting their money.
Everett They've sort of made this a more elegant,
Everett more refined um
Everett w watch. And I I think
Everett they're great. They've got this big sort of
Everett uh go fuck yourself onion
Everett crown that has a
Andrew nine-inch crown guard that's
Everett got these big sharp pointy crown
Everett guards, um, and unlike
Everett the old Patrias, they're uh
Everett they're not giant. They're 41 millimeters versus I think the old ones were like 46 or 45 or something like that. Um so
Everett still 11 too thick with 50 meters of water resistance. So it's not a
Everett dainty watch, but I don't think it's really trying to be a dainty. It's not really trying to be a dainty watch.
Andrew No, it's meant it's trying to be a go fuck yourself watch.
Everett I think so, yeah. And um and in full titanium, 8600 euro, which is
Everett you know, this is glass money, right? Uh uh you're gonna you're gonna pay for glassuta watches. Tutima,
Everett one of the one of the old
Everett Tutima or Glasshuta companies.
Everett Uh this has fantastic
Everett casework. It's sort of got a like a rose gold plate on this manual case with a beautiful
Everett rose gold uh escapement and
Everett the gear train is visible in s in like a contrasting silver. I I don't actually know enough about movements to know what all's going on here, but what I do know is I like it. I like it. Uh great sort of hobnail. I think that's hobnail. Is that what we call hobnail? Or maybe it's like
Everett a CNC grid, diamond grid. Um
Andrew yeah dial. We've
Everett got they they appear from a distance to be sort of just stick markers, but then you get up close and the markers are actually these really refined batons that have
Everett a great like chamfer on
Everett eat on all four you know on the two ends and on the four sides that lead up to this line, this gable line that goes across. Fantastic handset on these. The finishing on the subdial is like you get up to on a macro and you're like, ooh, I I love this watch.
Andrew Yeah, this is this is and it's
Everett in fucking titanium, which I don't know why, but I'm like, that
Everett is so baller. It
Everett that's so baller. It's like they
Andrew didn't want to go all the way with platinum or something like that, or what was that stupid metal we talked about a few weeks ago?
Everett Tantalum. Tantalum, yeah. They didn't get
Andrew dumb. They're like, but titanium's cool.
Everett Yeah. Yeah. Uh
Everett I and that'll make this watch just disappear.
Everett This is of course uh in-house movement that I I I just think this is so cool, man. It's cause it is.
Andrew You think right. You have chosen wisely.
Everett Chosen wisely. I I just I I saw this thing and I was like, wait,
Everett what? Why do you why do you
Andrew work? What? Crown
Everett guards are stupid fucking amazing crown guards that I want.
Andrew They look like a crab claw. Yeah,
Everett a little bit. Like there's grabbing it up. They're
Andrew just huge. Yeah. I
Everett really love this one. I just think this is a very beautiful watch.
Andrew The size of the crown makes me think that it it's gonna come out like a full inch. And you're just gonna see like drywall size screw drywall screw size threads on the thing.
Everett Or maybe it's on like uh maybe it's on like an elastic string
Andrew uh I really like that and and
Everett I like that the subdial so the subdial goes all the way from the outer minute track to damn
Everett near the pinion. The subdial
Everett takes up like I mean it's like probably 45%
Everett of that southern radius on the dial.
Andrew It's it's huge. Or excuse
Everett me, 90% of that southern radius.
Andrew And I think it's it
Andrew doesn't matter. I think this is a real The amount of space they've
Andrew left between the subdial and the minute track is really appropriate. Uh the amount of space they've left between the top of it and the pinion and really is it it everything is just well well thought out. You know, the so so well executed.
Everett The only thing I don't know off the top of my head and and
Andrew the article is mum on
Everett it. I don't know what the Y. I don't know
Everett what the um Z dimension.
Andrew Oh, it looks to be 12 and a half. Maybe 13.
Andrew It looks thick. I don't think I
Everett don't think it is that. I don't think it is that
Everett thick. It looks thick.
Everett Um let's see. Cause I
Everett think it's just nope. This one says
Andrew 11-2. Oh yeah. In fact,
Everett I think I think I did read that. Um yeah. This is a really cool watch, man. So it's
Andrew a winner. That's all I have to say about that.
Andrew All right. That's all I have to say about that. Where are we at?
Everett We're at 54 minutes and 9,
Everett 10, 11 seconds. I don't
Andrew really care about any of the other things that
Everett well, let me see. I I don't
Everett think I have gotten through my list. Um although
Everett although oh uh Orient
Everett Stretto and a bunch of new colors
Everett I you know I I I know when the Stretto came out we talked about it. I'm not sure how much we've talked about it. I
Everett really like it. And they released
Everett it in a bunch of like Easter
Andrew colors. They're not, I I wouldn't call these
Everett Easter colors. They're not pastel. They're like jewel tone,
Everett like very bright jewel. Anyway
Andrew These are the color of Easter eggs. When you buy the 50 pack of Easter eggs at the Walmart, these are the colors that it comes in.
Everett Only if your mom uses too much of the mix and not
Everett enough vinegar. No, I don't
Andrew dye eggs. The
Everett The Farer has released three new colors,
Everett or no, excuse me, two new colors
Everett of their world timer in of in Two new finishes? One new dial color. But two new finishes. So they've they've continued the green world timer and the blue one. But with the green one, they've added a gold PVD case
Everett and they've also added a maroon that comes in both silver and gold PvD.
Everett Um and I
Andrew want Farer to use more colors again. They're they're monochromatic is just it's not
Everett And that's everything. It's not scratching my itches.
Everett I think we're through. Yeah we're done.
Everett I think we're through. Andrew, other things?
Andrew Ooh, I have another thing. I was scrolling through movie titles the other night, just trying to decide what to watch. And I saw a tile that was Jesse Plemens' face, and I was like, I don't even give a shit what the movie is. If it's Jesse Plemens, it's gonna be good. And I'm in. I'm fully in. I'm
Everett in you see. And I read I read the
Andrew like little the little blurb on it, and it's like two men suspect kidnap and suspect the CEO of being an alien. I was like, well, this okay. Uh we'll see how this goes. But it's Jesse Plemens, so I have faith. This
Andrew movie, Begonia,
Andrew is wild. So this is a 2025 movie. Um
Andrew it is directed by a fella named
Andrew Yorgos Lanthimos. Lanthamos, maybe. Um
Andrew it is a remake of
Andrew a 2003 South Korean movie, Save the Green Planet. So when I was watching this movie, I texted the
Andrew guys. I was like, dude, this movie is like
Andrew Tarantino but Korean. And this is before I read anything about the background of this movie. So now knowing that it's a remake of a Korean movie, it I'm like, oh, okay yeah because there's like if you're at all familiar with Korean cinema it has like a feel to it that's that's right really unique to Korean filmmaking. Nobody else does it, and I don't know exactly why. So the whole premise of this movie is that Jesse Plemens and his cousin are are they're a little out there and they believe
Andrew that the demise of the bees
Andrew is due to an alien invasion, and they believe that
Andrew this CEO
Andrew played by Emma Stone is an alien, and they kidnap her and are then go from there. I don't want to spoil anything. This movie, the reason I say it's like Tarantino-esque is because this movie is like it occurs in a really small space. There's not
Andrew it's just
Andrew confined the whole time. Like you think about the hateful eight that occurs like on a set the size of you know it's it's twenty-five by twenty-five. the whole time.
Andrew And not the hateful eight. Yeah, the hateful
Andrew eight. Yeah it's the one in the in the little farmhouse. But this movie occurs like in this really small confined space and the whole time it's just a mind fuck. You're going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. And like you're never really sure. Like you nobody ever is the hero. Nobody is ever the villain. Like you, you're you're just along for this really bizarre ride
Andrew that's so it just it it takes you
Andrew in. You don't pick up your phone. You don't feel the need to second screen. You're just engrossed. I absolutely loved
Andrew it. The director,
Andrew I already said his name and I messed up. Yorgos. Yes, Yorgos um has done other Jesse Plemens and Emma Stone movies. He did the um the silent film with her. Not the silent film, the the black and white poor things. Um
Everett The Quiet Place. He did not do the
Andrew Quiet Place. Yeah. That's a different person. Looks similar-ish. Uh
Everett he's got a fairly um
Andrew modest feature film link. Like he he''ss well,
Everett getting, I mean, he's he's he's the hot he's
Everett the hot ticket now because this movie
Everett has just been wildly popular.
Andrew It blew my mind. Uh Jesse Plemens was great, Emma Stone was great. I I it's the m the kind of movie that when it was over, I thought about watching it again.
Everett Like this is run it back. Yeah.
Everett Run it back. Like what did I miss? What did I
Andrew not see? I love that. Yeah. I
Everett love that. It was it was very
Andrew good. Andrew, I've got
Everett another thing. Do me. I bought so I have been in the market for probably about two
Everett years, give or
Everett take for a Seuss Vide
Andrew and an immersion cooker. Uh
Everett and Andrew, Andrew, my friend Andrew, popped into our group chat the other day and said, Hey, if you've been on the fence, Anova's doing a huge sale on their stuff, and you should I mean,
Everett is this this is accurate, right? No, I'm just looking at the picture you sent me. Oh sorry.
Everett Uh and he said, This is this is a good deal. You should get this. Um, and
Everett so I did. I bought a I bought a sous
Everett vie, uh, and a Nova and I bought the book the
Everett good one. I don't know what it is. The big one, the pro. The
Everett pro. And and the reason I did that is because they were like.
Andrew They're still 50% off. So if you are in the market, now is the time.
Everett So I got the pro with the big one. But that's not my other thing for the week. My other thing for the week is uh the thing I got with it because in order to soo vie you you don't need
Andrew but it's helpful it's helpful to have a
Everett vacuum sealer and so I have one I one time used
Everett Andrew's vacuum sealer. Andrew you
Everett did bought a vacuum sealer off of Amazon.
Andrew I went to the Bimart. Which
Everett is basically which is basically
Everett Amazon uh but local but
Andrew warehouse. Andrew
Everett bought he probably paid $27.50 for it,
Everett if that. At most. At most.
Andrew I've spent more on vac bags. And
Everett I'll I will tell you. I'm sure
Everett it works, but it fucking
Everett sucks. I I
Everett think if you have sealed like 70 things, you know the right place to put the things and the right thing to pinch and the right place
Everett to sort of squeeze when you're shutting it. I had a really hard time using Andrew's vacuum sealer.
Everett Andrew doesn't have that problem because it's his vacuum sealer and he knows it intimately.
Andrew Use it a lot. He knows and when I mean
Everett intimately, I mean You won't believe the things
Andrew I've vacualed. Intimately.
Everett Uh so I I because I was getting this great deal on an ANOVA sous-v, I bought a
Everett an ANOVA their precision vacuum sealer pro. Now, admittedly,
Everett I probably do not need
Everett a vacuum sealer this nice.
Andrew But you won't ever regret having it.
Everett But I will tell you, I got this thing in and it is so it's expensive.
Everett Like this is 155 bucks on this
Everett thing, which I think it's not like expensive in the grand scheme of things, but for this tool for me, I thought that's a lot of money for a vacuum
Everett sealer. But the second I, started using it, I was like, I am so glad
Everett that I'd never have to touch Andrew's 1899
Everett vacuum sealer ever again. It is amazing.
Everett So you pull, you wheel the you spool
Andrew it out, seal it out, seal
Everett it, spin it, spin it, put your thing in it, seal it again. It does, it's got a it's got a
Andrew couple of features which make it really,
Everett really cool. One of them is it's got like a preset for both dry and
Everett wet sealing. Uh wet
Everett sealing can be difficult because it doesn't really know when to stop because the liquid and so it
Andrew keeps yeah um so
Andrew this has a this is able to if you're doing wet
Everett sealing alternatively if you don't want to lose a bunch of moisture or over-squeeze a wet item. It's got this pulse
Everett function where you can pulse the
Everett vacuum manually with your finger.
Everett You get it close and then you pulse, pulse, pulse, and it just pulls out what you need, uh, it gets
Everett a perfect seal. It gets a perfect seal. It's fast and it
Everett you can go immediately
Everett after you seal, you can flip
Everett and immediately start sealing again,
Everett and it does a perfect job. Uh with other vacuum sealers, you have to wait anywhere from a minute and a
Everett half to three minutes. This you
Everett you stop one, you turn it, you can immediately start. It's fast. It's quiet.
Everett It does all the you know how sometimes with
Everett things like this, the buttons
Everett don't like the feedback you get from the buttons isn't exactly what you'd expect. Like
Everett there's like a disconnect. Like
Andrew a mushy button. I or n not
Everett just tactile, but but also that. But like also just like the response of
Everett the machine sometimes like there's a a
Everett delay or whatever. Like all the electronics are just
Everett uh immediate response. It
Everett does what you want. I and I'm telling you, Andrew, you don't want to use it. If you don't want to buy one, don't use it. Because the second
Everett you use mine, you're you're gonna be like,
Everett I'm never gonna use at shitty buy market. I'm on the
Andrew I'm I'm in the window to buy a new one because mine is like
Andrew it's it's starting to do its little like it's
Andrew it's sputtering. Yeah. It's starting to starting to go. But because I have it and it does the thing that I need it to do.
Everett Right. It's sillyy to just
Andrew bu a new one. The whole reason I got a new sous V is because my display crapped out right before I needed it. Like I was I was heating the the water bath and the display stopped displaying.
Everett Boo. Um so
Andrew uh my my vote of confidence for ANOVA was that I didn't even consider another brand. I just went to the ANOVA website and was like, oh everything's fifty percent off.
Everett Yeah. What a win. That's pretty great. And
Everett so I did get the the nice, the pro um the pro Suvi. And then I also got that. I feel like
Everett I'm set up. At 50% off,
Andrew just get the pro. The whole the the the difference between the pro and the twenty
Everett box. The regular is is
Andrew yeah, it's like twenty dollars. And the actual technical difference is just the the heating element and the the circulating tool. Like the the pro can handle, I think, up to like 26 gallons uh of water in as as a circulator and the
Everett 26 gallons, yeah. Holy shit.
Andrew Uh that's like a a bathtub. Yeah.
Everett Holy shit. Okay. Uh
Andrew it can it can handle a bucket load. You may never reach that big
Everett that's a big bucket. Yeah. A very big bucket.
Andrew You you'll you may never need that
Andrew capacity. But the difference between a five and eight and a ten gallon capacity, you know, having that ability is really nice to not. You could
Everett sous vide a whole damn turkey if you wanted.
Andrew Yeah, you could do that in a ten gallon kettle.
Everett Yeah. Geez. I'm a sous V man, guys.
Andrew I've never done a bird.
Everett Hmm. He's contemplating
Everett it and rubbing his crotch. You won't be
Andrew able to vacseal a turkey. I don't
Andrew think either of us have the capac like the capability to be able to vacseal a turkey.
Everett Maybe mine would do it with the little hose attachment.
Everett Maybe. Hey guys, thanks for joining us for this episode of 40 and 20, the WatchClicker Podcast. Do me a favor, go to our websites, watch clicker.com.
